Meet Doug

Experienced Mortgage Executive serving the Charleston Area

Doug joins Southern First with over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship and over a decade in mortgage production. He is passionate about connecting people to resources they need to meet both their short and long-term financial goals. Doug is a natural problem solver and believes mortgages are about more than just the transaction. He builds strong relationships with his clients and walks them through every step of the process so they can have the best outcome for their needs. Outside of the office, Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, staying busy with their daughters’ sports teams. A native of Charleston and resident of James Island, Doug loves spending time on his boat and offshore fishing. He’s an active member of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and is a passionate member of the men’s ministry at St. Andrews Church in Mount Pleasant. Doug is a fan of great people, random acts of kindness and the underdog!
