Meet Karey

Experienced Banker in Summerville

Karey brings nearly 20 years of banking experience to Southern First, with expertise in bank operations and treasury management. She is a Certified Treasury Professional, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, and graduated from the South Carolina Bankers School. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Karey is actively involved in her community. She mentors with Beacons Mentoring, an elementary school program that provides consistent in-school support to help students feel safe, accepted, and valued. She also volunteers through her church and serves on the Board of Friends of the Library at the College of Charleston. She is happily married and the proud mother of two children. Outside of work, Karey enjoys floral arranging, attending nonprofit social events, baking sourdough, and learning Italian.
