Experienced Banker in Atlanta

Vernon started in banking over 10 years ago as a part-time teller and has been working his way up ever since, serving in a variety of roles including Lead Teller and Financial Services Representative. He took a short break from the industry for an opportunity to serve as a Flight Attendant and travel to many international and island destinations. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Vernon saw it as the perfect opportunity to return to his passion of banking and joined Southern First’s Atlanta office as a Client Experience Banker. He loves his role because it allows him to work with a wide variety of people. Vernon says, “I work with talented and passionate professionals. This makes for a rewarding and fun environment. Aside from my great teammates, my role allows me to interact with clients of all kinds and at all levels. Whether it’s a client seeking personal banking or working with a CEO of a publicly listed company, banking provides the great opportunity to meet and serve people from all segments of society, each with their own needs.” This has led to his promotion of Client Experience Officer in which he continues to serve all clients with passion. Outside of work, you’ll likely find Vernon spending time outdoors, hiking or camping. He also enjoys spending time with family including his 18 nieces and nephews!
